Sea Monster in Lough Foyle N. Ireland

A group of students who were recently in the lough filming caught this creature on film.  They uploaded the video to U Tube.  Mysteriously this video has since been removed, perhaps due to ridicule from sceptics.  Fortunately, I was able to save the video before it was removed.

I however believe this to be a living creature.  Could this be a Black Boa like the one sighted last year in Iceland?  My estimations from looking at the proportions of the boat and the creatures head is that its head is at least 2 metres wide, which would mean the body would be at least 170ft long.  A true sea monster indeed!

Where is this creature now?  Has it gone to aestivate?  We know it prefers river water to salt so could it now be in the River Foyle?
Its very likely there is another of these creatures in the area as they travel in pairs.

Kara Dag

The following extract I read on Cryptomundo.  What Lily saw was not a snake with a stripe.  What she saw was a snake shedding its skin.

"In July 1995, the huntsman Krasnikov Andrew, his wife, Lily, and editor of “The President”, T. Karatsuba and sister were in the cave at the top of the Kara-Dag. At 2 am, coming up to the edge of the cliff, at the bottom of the sea, she saw something very large and white*. This unknown creature was stirring and writhing. Armed with binoculars, night vision, she looked at the blank space at the bottom. What she saw at the bottom, struck her. At the bottom it is well considered white snake with a black stripe on the back, the width of the body which was more than two meters. The length of the snake, which is constantly squirming, was more than 40 meters. Through binoculars was clearly visible on the body of each scale. She called his comrades.
Each in turn took the binoculars and saw the unknown creature at the bottom, like a snake. An hour later, having got used to the presence of a snake, they retired to a cave. From time to time, Tatiana came out to check on the spot whether snakes. He still squirmed, clearly performed a dance. Light, she stood and looked at the white snake, which was already visible to the naked eye, snakes, otsvechivaya pink, continued to squirm on the other side cliff. And then they realized that the two giant snake dance dance of love. Right snake was smaller left. They obviously perform a dance of love, the dance of procreation. Relict population means snakes will soon be added. At five in the morning, constantly looking guys went down."

* - This statement shows that these creatures skin can turn an opaque white. As is illustrated in the Napo Amazon confluence to the left.

The mystery of the giant anaconda is over

Hook Island, Australia
What has research and an expedition to the Amazon revealed?

Firstly, this creature is not a giant anaconda at all.  The Black Boa would be a more suitable name.  With advancing technology i.e. mobile phones with video cameras, people from around the earth can record what they see and sightings will increase as technology moves forward.

What do we know about this animal?

1.  Unlike an ordinary anaconda it can feed and live in salt water.  When it decides to aestivate, it uses engorged water to burrow.  This water cannon like ability is also used for hunting its prey.  See my video on the home page and notice how the local guide demonstrates this action.  Also see my presentation 2009 and comments by Jose, our guide and translator.   My research reveals that it only does this directly from fresh water.  This snake is capable of sleeping for decades, hence the name "Dorma Dera" or "Sleeper".  The creature that was seen at Hook Island in Australia is a good example of how its body shrinks in size over the time it aestivates.  I would describe it as looking quite like a giant tadpole.

The black boa differs from the green anaconda in the following ways:
  • Large eyes
  • It coils in more than one ring
  • It has something resembling either horns, antenna or ears.
  • Its life span seems to be of great length
  • It can grow to monstrous proportions
  • It seems to have a retractable fan like appendage at the end of its tail.
  • The male and female are the same size
  • The underside of its belly is very rough like a threshing board (see pictures under my research file of Juan Pablo).
Like most animals, this creature gives off pheromones.  It does this in the water current which travels down river and attracts other snakes.  This causes the island to be a focal point for big snakes.  This could be the same snake that was seen off the coast of Africa 140 years ago by Mr J Cobbin of Durban, December 1871.  See page 23 in the book, Sea Serpents, Sailors and Sceptics by Graham J McEwan.

This species has been sighted all over the earth.  I'd like to draw your attention to Loren Coleman's website Cryptomundo and the following post entitled "New Black Sea Monster Photo."

I have researched this creature for over 25 years and I have reached conclusions of which I will share with you on this website.
